‘Sacred Heart #2’ acrylic painting on salvaged roofing tile in 5x7 frame with red velvet inlay.
In early April a storm ripped the roof off of half my duplex, causing the ceiling of the unoccupied side to collapse. I salvaged some pieces of the shredded tar roof, turning this disaster into talismans to ward off bad luck.
